CHSU-COM Held Training Workshop at Sutter Memorial Hospital

November 24, 2024

Earlier this month, the CHSU-COM Office of Community Clinical Education held a training workshop for clinical faculty/preceptors at Sutter Memorial Hospital in Modesto, CA.

The training workshop made a meaningful impact on the clinical faculty/preceptors, equipping them with valuable insights and strategies to support our medical students.

The CHSU-COM faculty and staff who participated include: Fernando Teixeira, MD, Director of Academic Community Engagement and Professor; Symon Guerra, MHA, Clinical Education Director; and Jonathan Terry, DO, Assistant Dean of Community Clinical Education and Associate Professor.

Dr. Teixeira hosted an inspiring and informative presentation and panel with the following medical students: Christian Velazco, Bryce Dorflinger, Navdeep Kaur, and Pulkit Singhal.

Their contributions added a unique and practical perspective, enriching the workshop experience for all attendees.  According to Dr. Terry, “We look forward to future collaborations with great enthusiasm, knowing that together, we’re shaping a supportive and effective learning environment. Thank you again for your commitment to excellence in medical education. We couldn’t be more excited.”
