Lavender Alliance Provides Local Hormone Replacement Therapy Injection Training

Lavender Alliance, a California Health Sciences University College of Osteopathic Medicine (CHSU-COM) student organization, is partnering with the Fresno Economic Opportunities Commission (EOC) LGBTQ+ Resource Center to provide hormone replacement therapy (HRT) training and counseling to local community members with the goal of promoting a safe gender transition for transgender individuals. They host HRT trainings every fourth Friday available for transgender individuals wanting to undergo a gender transition.
Lavender Alliance focuses on educating CHSU medical students to be knowledgeable and comfortable with providing healthcare to transgender patients in the future, as well as other members of the LGBTQIA+ community.
