National Women Physicians Day Panel Hosted by AMWA
February 5, 2026
In recognition of National Women Physicians Day, the California Health Sciences University College of Osteopathic Medicine (CHSU-COM) chapter of the American Medical Women’s Association (AMWA) hosted a panel featuring some CHSU’s own women faculty physicians, celebrating their experiences, challenges, and achievements in medicine.
The discussion created space for honest conversation around topics many students think about but rarely hear openly addressed such as confidence, career uncertainty, work–life balance, leadership, and redefining success over time.
Through personal stories and shared reflections, panelists offered insight into navigating medicine with resilience and purpose, while encouraging students to trust their paths, advocate for themselves, and find fulfillment on their own terms. The event fostered connection, inspiration, and reassurance, highlighting the importance of mentorship, community, and continued advocacy for women in healthcare.
The panel was organized by Shereen Aziz, AMWA President; Husnaa Formoli, AMWA Vice President; Dahnie Ouche, AMWA Treasurer; and Tejomayukha Moganti, AMWA Secretary.
