OPP Scholars PRogram

The Osteopathic Principles and Practices (OPP) Scholars Program at the CHSU College of Osteopathic Medicine (CHSU-COM) offers a unique opportunity to advance knowledge and skills in Osteopathic Principles and Practices. As an OPP Scholar, CHSU-COM students can enhance their professional development through a wide range of scholarly and clinical activities, and teaching.

Up to four CHSU-COM students will be accepted into this highly competitive program each year and will join their peers as part of a national group of OMM fellows.

commitment

  • 12-month term of service, divided over a 3-year period and interwoven throughout your clinical clerkships.
  • Complete OMS-II year, COMLEX/STEP, and EPA 1 with your class.
  • OPP Scholars Program Begins in OMS-III year.
  • An additional year added to medical school.

  • CHSU-COM OMS-II in good academic and professional standing
  • Strong interest in teaching and learning more OPP/OMM
  • Completed application including CV
  • One-page supplemental interest statement

compensation

  • Tuition reduction for each of the three years
