OPSC Hosts Med Student For A Day
November 17, 2025
On November 1st, the Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons of California (OPSC) at CHSU-COM hosted its annual “Med Student for a Day” event, welcoming college students to campus for a hands-on introduction to osteopathic medical education.
Participants rotated through interactive workshops, including Stop the Bleed training, Narcan training, ultrasound demonstrations, vital signs assessment, and immersive HoloLens anatomy experiences led by Dr. Joseph Lin.
The event also featured an introduction to Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine (OMM) led by Dr. Jan Pryor, as well as an overview of Team-Based Learning (TBL).
Attendees had the opportunity to engage directly with CHSU faculty, current medical students, and admissions representatives. OPSC was proud to collaborate with RIG, SOMA, OPC, and the Admissions team, whose contributions helped make the day a tremendous success.
