Student Doctors in Valley Reach Help Perform Sports Physicals at Central East High School

Medical students in Valley Reach, a CHSU-COM student organization, recently visited Central East High School to help perform sports physical exams for their wrestling and basketball teams under the guidance of Dr. Luis Bautista and Student Doctor Monica Le.

Putting their clinical skills to use, second and third-year medical students performed full body physical exams for over 50 high school student athletes.

This event directly helped improve the accessibility of health care to local youth by eliminating the cost and time required to visit a primary care physician to fulfill the physical exam requirement needed to participate in their sport.
