Students Doctors Maria Nguyen and Senuri Boralessa Attend CMA House of Delegates 2024

Student doctors Maria Nguyen, CMA delegate, and Senuri Boralessa, CMA alternate delegate, attended the California Medical Association House of Delegates 2024 in Sacramento, CA on October 25-27.

There they participated in parli-pro with other medical schools and physicians across California.

Maria Nguyen spoke in front of the House of Delegates on behalf of the Medical Student Section and provided testimony for an amendment to a recommendation in support of increasing medical transportation options for rural populations, which was adopted as the new amended recommendation.

Maria was also elected the Vice Chair of Chapter Development for the CMA Medical Student Section’s board. She will be working closely with all the CMA chapters in other medical school campuses.
