CHSU-COM Receives the AACOM GME Grant Award

The California Health Sciences University College of Osteopathic Medicine (CHSU-COM) Graduate Medical Education (GME) department received the American Association of Colleges of Osteopathic Medicine (AACOM) GME Grant award by the Undergraduate Medical Education to Graduate Medical Education (UME-GME) Task Force.
Duc Chung, MD, MBA, FAAHPM, Assistant Dean for Graduate Medical Education; Nohemi Barriga, PsyD, Career Counselor, Residency Match Manager, and Assistant Professor; and Angel Haupe, Graduate Medical Education Administrative Assistant, took the lead in submitting the grant application in collaboration with Prime West Consortium.

Congratulations to Drs. Duc Chung and Nohemi Barriga and Angel Huape for obtaining this grant for their proposal on the “Impact of Virtual Interviews on Osteopathic Medical Students and International Medical Graduates in Rural and Underserved Regions of California.”
This study aims to explore potential disparities of virtual interviews on overall Match outcomes for osteopathic and international medical graduates in comparison with US allopathic counterparts.
